- Act as the main point of contact between the company and supplier partners
- Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, programs, and agreements with vendors
- Stay hands-on with day-to-day purchasing activities and supplier coordination
- Analyze supplier performance, cost trends, and purchasing data
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to support pricing strategies and customer needs
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, efficiency, and supplier alignment
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendor partners
- Support inventory planning, forecasting, and overall purchasing execution
- 5-8+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
- Certified Supply Chain Leader designation preferred
- Strong negotiation and vendor management experience
- Background in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or related industries preferred
- Solid understanding of logistics, freight, and supplier coordination
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret purchasing and performance data
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel skills an asset)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable being hands-on in a key business function
