What Will You Do?
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in compliance with local building codes and safety regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing layouts and system requirements
- Collaborate with construction professionals, including carpenters, electricians, and welders, to ensure proper system installation
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, valves, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures
- Inspect and test plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, and other issues
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning plumbing components and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity
- Respond to emergency plumbing service calls and provide timely repairs
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
What Do You Bring?
- Journeyman Plumber or 4th year Apprentice
- Experience with residential plumbing service calls, water treatment, trouble shooting and water heaters (tanks, tankless' s and boilers). Hydronic/boiler experience is an asset
- Drains experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and plumbing integration
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Basic welding and carpentry experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimates
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments and weather conditions
- Proven experience in diagnosing and servicing residential units
- A thorough understanding of provincial plumbing code and standards
- An accountable and responsible personality, delivering high customer satisfaction and has a positive, can-do attitude
- A valid driver’s license with a suitable driving abstract
