We are proud to partner with our client who has produced quality products for over 60 years as they add a new Electrician to their team. This is a straight day shift (Monday to Friday) with an incredibly stable company that has recently made a huge investment to upgrade and modernize their equipment and operations. Here’s what you will do:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLC and motor controls, safety sensors and relays.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings and gears
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with lockout/safety procedures.
- Strong problem solving skills related to troubleshooting issues in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Experience in repairing and installing many different types of equipment.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings.
- Demonstrate good housekeeping practices at all times to help maintain a safe work area.
- Track and document monthly PM reports and daily work orders in a timely fashion, identify equipment breakdown causes and minimize equipment downtime.
- Use equipment, materials and machinery only as authorized, and operate equipment in a manner that does not endanger themselves or other workers.
- Communicate and work effectively with work team members and other members of the company.
- Respond to equipment problems in a timely manner.
- Integrate all plant, quality, safety and security polices and guidelines into all day to day activities on the job.
Here’s what we’re looking for and what you will need to succeed:
- 5+ years of hands-on Electrical experience with at least 2 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing settings (either internal maintenance team or contractor)
- 442A or 309A License (Fully licensed or final year apprentice
- Experience with DCS systems, control valves, calibration of instrumentation, PLC systems, AC drives, DC drives, servo drives, motion control, AC /DC Motors
- Strong computer skills for both automation controls and daily applications is required
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through
- Able to work in fast paced production environment with multiple priorities
- Team oriented with a positive attitude
- Growth-mindset and desire to develop personally and professionally
- Ability to work 1 afternoon shift oration per month
