For over 30 years, our client has been a top HVAC and Plumbing contractor in both residential and ICI sectors. What Will You Do?
- Install and commission refrigeration, air conditioning, and HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and air handling systems.
- Install and connect electrical and control systems associated with HVACR equipment.
- Diagnose and repair HVACR system issues including refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, compressor failures, and airflow problems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Repair or replace components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, valves, and control systems.
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Verify system layout, measurements, and equipment placement prior to installation.
- Identify potential system issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Test HVACR systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
- Charge systems with refrigerant and verify system pressures and temperatures.
- Perform system balancing, calibration, and commissioning as required.
- Ensure all work meets applicable mechanical codes, safety standards, and company quality requirements.
- Inspect completed installations and repairs for accuracy and functionality.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
What Do You Bring?
- Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (313A) Certification or 5th year apprentice
- Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification
- At least 1 year of experience in residential installs is required (performing tasks independently). Some commercial experience is strongly preferred.
- Gas Technician (G2 or G3) Certification considered an asset
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, critical thinking and decision making skills are essential.
- Valid drivers license and clean diving abstract is required as well as proper parking space at home for company vehicle.
- Reliable and team-oriented attitude.
